L.I.O.N. V2 Base. Training loadout to approved engagement load.
The V2 Base is a direct add-on component for the L.I.O.N. blank fire device. It replaces the aluminum V1 base with a 416R stainless steel base so qualified users can move from a training loadout to an approved 2″ cartridge. This listing is the V2 Base only. The L.I.O.N. blank fire device with V1 base is sold separately.
Restricted purchase
The V2 Base is a serialized component. It is available only to FFL holders, law-enforcement and military personnel in active or retired status with valid credentials, or licensed security companies and contractors.
Before purchase, the user must attend and successfully complete the Online Operator Training Course or a PAMAX Train-the-Trainer course. A certificate is issued on completion and is required to purchase V2 Base unit(s).

Product Overview
The V2 Base is manufactured in the USA from 416R stainless steel. Fitted to a L.I.O.N. blank fire device in place of the aluminum V1 base, it is specified to accept the 2″ proprietary Angry Olive blank or the B12 blank cartridge for a distractionary effect: a loud report of 180+ decibels, high atmospheric pressure, and a temporary output of bright light.
Direct add-on
Built for the L.I.O.N. blank fire device. Swaps in for the V1 aluminum base. Device body with V1 base is not included.
416R stainless
The V2 Base is 416R stainless steel. It is specified for the approved 2″ load where the aluminum V1 base is not.
Approved 2″ loads only
Proprietary Angry Olive blank or B12 blank cartridge. No other cartridge is authorized in the V2 Base.
Certificate required
Online Operator Training Course or Train-the-Trainer. Certificate is the purchase credential for the serialized V2 Base.
Classification
L.I.O.N. devices are classified as blank fire devices when paired with PAMAX-approved cartridges that contain less than 0.5 oz of commercial powder. In that configuration they are not considered a destructive device and do not require special storage, tracking, or federal paperwork associated with that classification. This blank fire device family is offered as a safer, less costly alternative for public-safety agencies and qualified personnel.

Approved ammunition
Safety and warranty
Use only approved blank cartridges. Never attempt to load live ammunition. Use of unapproved blanks, live ammunition, or modifying blanks or the device is prohibited and voids all warranty coverage.
Not compatible with a 1208 Thunder Bore cartridge. Use of a 1208 Thunder Bore or any unapproved or modified cartridge immediately voids any warranty and may classify this device as a destructive device under ATF regulation.

Works great. It was way louder than I expected. Will work great as a distraction device in real world deployments. Highly recommend. Great product for smaller departments have that don’t have a budget to support flashbangs. I demonstrated this to multiple agencies on a training day and right away they were going to present to their agency heads to purchase some.
