Razor · Rod of Judgement · CHF chrome-lined · 14.5? Government mid
Rod of Judgement. Cold-hammer forged for a high cyclic rate.
Same 14.5? Government contour, mid-length gas, .750? journal, and 1:7 twist as a standard nitride barrel. Different manufacturing path. The Rod of Judgement series is cold-hammer forged, chrome-lined in the bore and extension, then black-nitrided on the exterior. That combination is the duty standard for sustained fire, full-auto, and forced-reset guns — not a range-day nitride tube with the same dimensions.
Same geometry. Different duty cycle.
Comparison below holds length, gas system, twist, journal, and chamber constant. The gap is process and lining — button-rifled nitride versus cold-hammer forged chrome-lined. A 14.5? barrel is still a short barrel until a pinned-and-welded muzzle device makes 16?.
Product Overview
Forged, not just cut
Machines from raw bar stock. Drill, ream, rifle, contour, and assemble on a fully automated, robotic-driven line. Cold-hammer forging work-hardens the bore and packs the rifling into the steel instead of cutting it away.
Chrome in. Nitride out.
Bore and extension are chrome-lined for heat and wear. Exterior is black nitride for corrosion and a hard surface. Stress-relieved after rifling. Extensions torqued. That is the combat lining stack, not nitride through the lands.
Sustained fire rating
Built for high cyclic rate, full-auto, and forced-reset schedules. Chrome-lined CHF barrels in this class are rated in the 40–50k round range. A standard nitride Government mid of the same cut is not.
Dimensionally locked
Quality control checks that every barrel is in tolerance and that the bore falls inside its individual spec. 19.0 oz. Sub-2? MOA guarantee. 100% USA made.
CHF chrome-lined vs. standard nitride
Both columns assume a 14.5? Government profile, mid-length gas, .750? journal, 1:7 RH, 5.56 NATO chamber, and M4 extension. The nitride column is a typical 4150 CMV nitride barrel of that geometry — not a named competitor SKU.

A 14.5? barrel is an NFA short barrel until a pinned-and-welded muzzle device brings overall barrel length to 16?. Confirm gas-block ID against the .750? journal. Chrome lining and CHF life figures assume a correct gas system, lubrication, and a duty fire schedule — they are not a license to run the tube dry.
