Description
HADES Hybrid Gen2 · .458 SOCOM · 5/8×32 · SKU HADES2-458
HADES Gen2 for .458 SOCOM. Hybrid brake. Gas stays forward.
HADES Hybrid Gen2 is finally cut for .458 SOCOM. Same Gen1 pressure geometry, low-profile body, and six added 90-degree side ports so peak gas dumps perpendicular to the bore instead of back at the shooter. Machined in the USA from locally sourced 416 stainless. About 1¼” in diameter — lighter than most brakes in this caliber class.
Caliber lock
This unit is bored .460? max for .458 SOCOM. Do not mount it on a smaller-bore barrel expecting a 5.56 or .308 HADES. Match thread, bore, and cartridge before install.
Product Overview
Built for the heavy cartridge
Gen2 adds three 90-degree ports on each side. They pressurize at peak PSI first and throw rearward gas off the line of the shooter’s face. On .458 SOCOM that shows up as a real cut in muzzle rise and sway, not just a louder brake.
Control on both planes
The aggressive pitch forces gas to keep the muzzle forward and dumps the plume past the shoulders. Horizontal and vertical movement both drop. Follow-up shots stay in the glass instead of recovering from the lift.
.460? through-bore + flash chamber
Enhanced inner diameter and a larger expansion chamber vent excess gas through vertical and offset channels. Tuned to cut flash on a 16? .458 SOCOM barrel without choking the bore.
Duty cycle, working price
Compensation increases under rapid semi, burst, and full-auto. Designed for law-enforcement and military use, priced as a working part — not a boutique brake.

Confirm 5/8×32 thread and .458 SOCOM bore before install. Flash tuning assumes a 16? or longer barrel; shorter barrels still run, but flash and concussion increase. Pin-and-weld is listed separately when overall length must make 16?.
